Construction Legal Services specialises solely in non-contentious construction law. It's not part of our business; it is our business.

Construction Legal Services (CLS) is the only law firm in North-east Scotland, and one of the few in the country, specialising in and practising solely in non-contentious construction law. Founded in 2016 by Managing Director Kathleen Waller, it advises clients on all construction-related legal needs. It offers a single point of contact, providing sound, knowledgeable, cost-effective legal advice and support.

We’re experts in what we do because it’s all we do. We know our business inside out, giving you peace of mind that you’re getting the professional service and legal advice you need when needed.

We’re straight talkers and prefer a plain English approach, getting straight to the point. We use our years of specialist expertise and sound knowledge of the subject to provide clear, concise, and understandable advice.

We know and understand the legal and technical issues affecting a construction project and work with clients to resolve them.

We prepare and negotiate commercially appropriate special conditions for major construction contracts and related ancillary documents.

Our approach puts you, the client, first. We can work with you on a project-to-project, ad hoc, consultancy or general support basis.

We provide quotes for services on request, at a level to suit your needs, whether fixed fee, per hour or on a monthly retainer basis.

As specialists in our law field, we advise other solicitors, developers, contractors and subcontractors, consultants, funders, tenants, and purchasers on various construction matters.

Kathleen Waller is an accredited specialist in construction law by the Law Society of Scotland.
