Meet Kathleen Waller BA (Hons) LLB Dip LP

Kathleen Waller, founder and managing director of Construction Legal Services (CLS), is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Construction Law.

She founded CLS in 2016 after identifying a gap in the market for a legal practice which would solely focus on providing expert advice in very niche field of non-contentious construction law.

Kathleen now uses her expertise to advise solicitors, developers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, funders, tenants, and purchasers on all aspects of non-contentious construction law. She also supports a large independent architectural practice in Scotland as its in-house construction solicitor.

She graduated from Robert Gordon University in 1999 with a BA (Hons) in Law and Management and followed that with a second degree, an LLB, Law, Dip LP from the University of Aberdeen in 2002.

Kathleen trained initially with a local company covering various aspects of law before joining Paull & Williamsons as a Senior Construction Solicitor in 2005. She moved to The Commercial Law Practice LLP in 2013 as Associate and Head of Construction, remaining there until she set up CLS three years later.

Proud to be a farmer’s daughter, Kathleen lives in rural Aberdeenshire with her husband and two teenage children.
